i hate you because i love you

i am annoyed with a fair bit of stuff, like how sociology is IMMENSE, and that's about all i've started on. or how i have no faith at all in european history, seeing how i can't even do three chapters in two days and we have what, a million?

and of course, as there always is with me, petulant, hoping yet knowing better than to expect me, there's the stupid people i am surrounded by, who by themselves are far from stupid but every other thing points the other way. like how base they are, and how i let them be. or how i enjoy their company even though i should know better. or how i expect nothing at all, knowing full well i should, just so they can be their stupid selves.

and everytime i move on, because we all know it's the best thing for me to do, they pop up and do something so uncharacteristically not them, that i am forced to the same position of neither here nor there.

darn.




BUT then of course, there's so many ways they make me smile. the wishes, the confidantes, the gossip and bitching, the sharing, the consoling, the surprises, the fun, and the laughter.
